In the city of Derby in the English midlands, and more specifically
in its strangely-named suburb Sinfin, there's a road, apparently
on a housing estate, called Swallowdale Road. I have not visited it,
but discovered it on a street atlas. I don't know whether
it's an intentional Ransome reference or a coincidence.
About half the surrounding roads seem to be named after birds
(but without modifications such as the addition of -dale to
Swallow) and the other half after places in Scotland. I didn't
notice any that could be interpreted as Ransome references.
