Peter H--Yellowjackets--they sting something fierce, and in the place we were camping at the end of summer they get frenzied in their search for food to eat before they hibernate, so they are likely to swarm campers as they eat. I actually had a sting on my tongue one year, and discovered that tongues are quite sensitive. We didn't kill that many--just enough to lessen the impact at the table.
