It is nice to know that humans are normal the world over. Your railway blog sounds terribly like the USA and Australia in terms of greedy Hullabaloos.
I prefer the more subtle British method of making developers wealthy.

I asked this question before and I missed the answer:

What is the name of the movie set in WW2 where the Scottish Laird returning from the war, on leave, falls for the blonde bombshell, but she is already engaged? Trains had a big part in this movie.
