Reading Brogan's "Life" recently, I was horrified to see Evgenia's attitude when PM was in preparation - hence (in theory) the subtitle of the book.
Given that they were living at The Heald at the time, surrounded by woods, what a wonderful evocation of his own immediate surroundings. Interesting that Brogan also draws a connection between the name of the D's home and AR himself being "in the dog house".
