That is exactly correct, and vital in the context of a brainstorming session. The whole point is to put all the ideas on the table and NOT oppose them until that phase is complete. If you are truly trying to get everyone's opinions, then you should not shutdown people for saying things that may at a later phase of the process be shown to false or even patent nonsense.
However, Tarboard is not a brainstorming session it is a discussion board. Let the discussions continue and you are completely free to comment on any ideas that you find unconvincing.
