That's possible. Obviously they take up more data space than text does. But I'm not sure what the capacity limitations are; clearly 'recent messages' operates on 'first in first out' but are the pictures enough to make a noticeable difference?

My main concern over pictures is for modem users- which I am from time to time when I'm in the sticks, although that's only for a few weeks a year. If the pictures are in line, so that we see them as the message opens, it's jolly nice but it does mean that you have to download the picture before you read. If the pictures are linked to, with an optional link, then you only download them if you click on the link. Previously, the great majority were made available this way, and it seems to me that it's still the most modem user-friendly way.

Does Tarboard have many modem users now?
