Hi - thanks for link about Soong Ching-Ling. An incredible life really. I remember reading somewhere that all the Taicoons in Missee Lee were part-caricatures of Chinese politicians of the day? It would be interesting to try and match them up!
Also, Mao used to have messengers communicate with each other by whistling in morse code, and in English - the latter without them understanding the language, only the letters, so that the messengers could never betray the content of the message.
