As someone who has read quite a lot of J.K. Rowling's interviews, in many of which she answered questions about who were her favourite writers, I don't think there's any evidence that she was an AR fan. The idea that she was one may have arisen from an interview in which she commented on the thrill of getting her first book published. She referred to the thrill of seeing it "there on the shelf, between Ransome and somebody else" (or words to that effect). She meant seeing it on a shelf in a bookshop where children's books were arranged alphabetically by author.
