Sorry to play the Old China Hand, but you perhaps inadvertently give the impression that Soong ChingLing "became" Mme Sun YatSen after meeting Ransome. She had married Dr Sun in 1915; she was his widow when Ransome met her; as a Chinese married lady she retained her own name. She was "Mme Sun" to foreigners.
