In my original post you may have noticed that I spell colour as color, indicating that I live in the USA. I don't know if Kodak used worldwide model numbers back in the 1920's and 30's. So it is possible that my Mom's camera had a different model number and/or name, but it certainly was identical or nearly identical as far as I can remember, to the Series III Vanity.
I never thought of that camera when reading The Big Six. As we almost all have observed, it is amazing how many new bits of information and personal connections that we can come up with as we examine all things Ransome.
