The Literary Pages have a few chapters from the Richard Jefferies book, Bevis. I have found both Bevis and Wood Magic on Google Books as complete images of the books, and want to provide these links as an adjunct to what we have.
However, while the links work fine from California, Jock tells me that they don't work the same way from Poland:
Your links provide access (very slow) to the respective Google Books landing places with information about the two books in question (and where to buy hard copies). There is NO link to the complete on-line editions.
So I'd appreciate people in different countries trying these links and reporting back as to what they get. The links are:
Wood Magic
and
Bevis: The Story of a Boy.
Be warned that the first page of Wood Magic is almost completely blank (and dark) with a number at the top, but if you go on to other pages you'll see it.
