It's such an extreme proposal that I suspect he may be a negotiator's first gamble; that a later proposal that might effect a couple of villages, a couple of reedbeds or one of the broads may be more likely to be accepted, because of this domesday scenario.

I'm trying to work out, from the map, where the sea wall south of Potter Heigham would be? Perhaps down towards Thurne Dyke, or nearly onto the Bure. Madness!
