Just a brief note of thanks and appreciation for Stuart Wier's Swallow and Amazon boating site, and also for Lionel Hill's Australian TARS site. Both should give serious TARS some very valuable reading time.
Robert Livingstone mentions words repeated so many times that one loses track of the correct spelling. Indeed, it can happen with words said aloud. Say 'bread' a hundred times and it not only sounds wrong but you may lose the meaning of the word. The word is not the thing.
Visitors from England to our home one time brought their sixteen-year-old daughter, who spent a good bit of her time imitating 30s Chicago-style gangsters to her parents' dismay and my amusement.
