While only very slightly of AR relevance, one of our contributors may be interested to know that on ABC TV in Australia tonight there was a short documentary about one Howard Jones who helped to save the last steam train commuter line in Poland.
Some great shots of a rebuilt loco, (I think her name was "Helen" but I may have misheard.)
The line makes money from allowing tourists to actually operate the engine under the watchful eyes of the professional crew, as well as from fares from the travelling public.
