I may be wrong, but I think the burgee drawn by AR is that of the Royal Cruising Club. He was a member at the time he owned Nancy Blackett and turned her into Goblin in We Didn't Mean to go to Sea. Presumably Jim Brading and/or his uncle were fictional members of the club.
