why don't I join TARS? Never been much of a joiner of anything . . as much as I enjoy reading about sailing and camping nothing would persuade me to do either
First - well done for daring to come straight out with it. (I do feel we get a little bit buttoned-up on TarBoard occasionally.) However (there has to be a 'however'), a substantial portion of the membership of TARS take no part whatever in activities, but join simply to receive the literature and opportunities such as the ability to buy Amazon publications. You don't have to be a sailor or a camper to enjoy TARS (I am neither). But if you're not a 'joiner' - OK, that's fair enough.
