Some years ago I was authorised by the Board to purchase the 1963 six part BBC production of S&A. A price was agreed but when they opened the can they discovered the film had deteriorated too much to print. At that timee I beieve it was held by the British Film Institute. Susan George very kindly sent me a copy of her copy of the first episode, but it was not very clear.
