I'm an old fart

So am I. So, in my 'OF' capacity, I am going to say that whilst I certainly agree that TarBoarders should do what seems sensible and best, I regret that 'thread etiquette' is not what it was. I have suffered once or twice recently from 'queue-jumpers', ie correspondents who place their follow-up posting above a follow-up posting which is already there. What can happen then is the the first follow-up post is soon shoved unceremoniously downwards and gradually cast into limbo, unregarded. This is discourteous IMO. When this happened to me recently, I reposted my follow-up where it should have been - not a brilliant remedy but the only one I can think of.

Of course, where someone wishes to follow up on a different point in the original post, then it's OK to post a direct follow-up on that point.
