I much prefer the "Latest Messages" page. I can see all the messages I have not yet read without having to scroll a long way down and sometimes sideways as well looking for new posts.
I know the threaded view is available if I ever need to put messages into time sequences, but I don't feel the need to use that view for everyday viewing to keep me up to date with the Board.
Like Dan, I reply to a posting which triggers me to try to add something of help to the previous poster. If that gets out of sequence in the threaded view, I too am sorry, but I am not going to change my modus operandum
