I wonder if those books were chosen for video (coot club + big six)
since they were fairly self contained. You don't _really_ need
to know anything about the rest of the series to watch/read those.

But while a lot of us might enjoy a video of The Picts and the Martyrs,
I can't help wondering how well it would play before an audience
unfamiliar with the series. (Who is the GA, why are they afraid of
her? Why are the kids obsessed with sailing, where are their parents)
I suppose those could all be explained away with some carefull exposition.

I'd get a kick out of a _well_done_ movie of Peter Duck, but I
can't help wondering how hard it would be to make it a _well_done_
video. Where can they come up with a suitable sailboat? How do
they handle the videotaping on board? Actually, I don't think the
rest is that tough, but I have to wonder about filming the sailing.
