I do also have a Webb illustrated Swallowdale, which I do also plan to scan and post. I have, however, recently moved house and it may be months before the book surfaces!
I personally prefer many aspects of the Webb illustrations, the "thirties-ness" comes through wonderfully and I love the extra detail, but I have to agree when people say the AR pictures have a better "timeless" quality better suited to carry the books forward to future generations.
