But then, in my lifetime I have run into only one person that has ever heard of Ransome or "Swallows and Amazons" either.
Perhaps at my age (73) it is a bit late to try to sample some of Blyton's works that seem to be aimed at a 6 year old, at least from what I can tell from the descriptions after looking up her name on AMAZON.COM.
Some of us appear to have just missed out...
