Can anyone tell me what 1920s/'30s oilskins would have been made of? Were they waxed cotton, rubberised cotton or something else entirely? I've wondered about this for a while (and have a possible project in mind some day...) but was particularly intrigued to read last night that Mrs Barrable bought Dick and Dorothea some 'cheap' oilskins. These days neither waxed nor rubberised are cheap!
