Thanks Jon, of course, I wasn't thinking hard enough.
I was trying to relate it to my theory that the pork pies, Cumberland sausages, Cornish pasties, ginger beer,
lemonade et al consumed by our heroes would have tasted different to the poor imitations largely sold nowadays.
