Well, getting the new TarBoard working was a rather more complicated process than I initially expected, but it seems to be working OK so far...
To get it running on my server, and to try and make it easier for a group of people to manage (instead of Ian, who knew all its foibles), I had to spend a fair amount of time understanding and making changes to the code to try and reduce the possibilities of various problems occuring and to rearrange the administration process slightly.
Hopefully the changes/additions to the code that I made are all working OK and haven't caused any new problems, but if you do find any problem or strange new behaviour, please get in touch with the TarBoard team via the Contact Us page.
Please also get in touch if you have any suggestions for improving the way TarBoard works. We don't intend to make any radical changes to this well-loved ship, but a lick of paint or new set of oars...
To avoid clogging up TarBoard with loads of boring technical things, it's best if you send any responses via the Contact Us page rather than replying to this post!
