The paperback mentioned by Owen and linked to by yourself is very useful if you actually plan to enter
the disused mines! It's called "CONISTON COPPER MINES, A FIELD GUIDE" and contains lots of useful
information for those who intend to enter the Coniston Mines and survive to tell the tale. It does not contain
the story of Oscar Gnosspelius's mining trials in the Coniston area. For the latter you will need CONISTON
COPPER, A HISTORY" which is unfortunately out of print.
