OK. I can now understand why this didn't work for me. If you post a degree symbol in TarBoard,
that's not necessarily what another reader sees. This is a bit like the perennial 'posting
from Word' problem. In my case I saw a question mark which did not work when I did a straight
paste into Google Maps.

It's the only really clean and simple way that I know of, of picking up and transmitting a Google
Earth fix

When you have finished editing your Google Map or satellite image, Google provides a hyperlink
which when incorporated in an e-mail or TarBoard post and then 'clicked' will open up your map
and pin just as you set it up.
