When you have finished editing your Google Map or satellite image, Google provides a hyperlink
which when incorporated in an e-mail or TarBoard post and then 'clicked' will open up your map
and pin just as you set it up.

The other thing is that you can simply remove the degrees etc... Google Earth and Google maps will parse it correctly, as in:

54 21 13.53 N 2 56 12.38 W

I do this so rarely that I forgot...
