AR would almost certainly have travelled by CNCo steamer during his visit to China.

Some of the vessels' names are known, if that helps. On 5th February 1927, AR was due to sail from Hunt's Wharf, Shanghai, to Hankow aboard the Yangtze steamer Loongwo. However, he had to board a replacement vessel, the Suiwo, because, he was told, "Loongwo bloke".
