It does remain, and the name is the same although it was renamed for many years... Perfectly recognisable, although the ivy's long gone. I drove past it an hour ago, to check.
At the time I also did a pass at the top of Dog Kennel Hill, at the location of the picture of the tram waiting to go down. The hill's still there all right, but the art deco block of flats has been replaced by other, low rise, building. Which is a pity; I enjoy London Art deco.
