Interesting for a variety of reasons - 1926 was the year Trotsky was finally ousted from the Soviet hierarchy by Stalin (he was exiled the following year). The same year (I think) AR moved to Low Ludderburn. So it does raise a few questions - presumably this was a photograph that either Arthur or Evgenia had chosen to bring to England with them - why? And why did Arthur make a gift of it to his employers? (Perhaps just because the news of Trotsky's ousting would have required some illustration?)
