I have a nagging memory of seeing the illustration of the Eel Totem in the Swallows' camp with a wristwatch around its neck along with the shells, etc.
I had exactly the same memory, and a week or so ago I went to SW and looked for that illustration. But it's not there, and later when it came up here, I realised I was remembering the description in the text and conflating it with the illustration of the totem- which doesn't include the watch.
