I have the complete opposite opinion of Ronald Fraser and Zanna Hamilton (the actress who played Susan). I felt that Fraser was too small, too pompous and generally not suitable for Captain Flint.
On the other hand in the film Susan actually came to life as a real person whose actions and motives were more easily understood than I ever found from reading the book.
I thought Roger was made to be too silly and John didn't make any realimpression. I quite liked the Amazons and Mother.
The sailing was most peculiar.
