I think that there is now a trend to teach languages to Children in Primary School, so Roger knowing Latin better than John is not surprising.

I studied "badly" German in High School and to this day have trouble with sentences like Der Bear ist Gruene.

My Daughter at 3 after 2 years has a better command of the English language than a lot of my students who have many years at the Language.

I still have trouble with Texan, I can not get the 'r's right. I leave them off and that upsets the poor dears.
