Perhaps that shows that Latin is not a dead language, after all. I know, I know - the vocabulary and grammar don't change as the centuries roll by, so that makes it a dead language. Wonder if your cousin used the English pronunciation for his Latin, while the priest, of course, would use the "received" ecclesiastical pronunciation. Maybe we should ask Roger.
