I have just finished reading the first two books again. Then after a draft of Budweiser American Ale, not bad, I thought of the three battles between the S and A's in the books.
It struck me as odd that the S's, won all the battles. The odds of them winning three random events is 1 in 8.
Event 1 S | A
Event 2 S A | S A
Event 3 S A S A | S A S A
So we have an SSS, SSA, SAS, SAA, ASS,ASA,AAS, and AAA possible winning groups.
Ransome preferred the S's. Is this a sing of political non correctness under the disguise of a random game of chance?
Even John admits that Nancy is a damn good sailor.
