Dorothea is a very romantic but sweet girl. I can't imagine WH without her lovely internal stories, or B6 without her sheer determination to find the culprit & clear her beloved Tom Dudgeon, or PM without her staid approach to living in The Dogs' Home & its challenges.... AR takes her from newly-arrived from city living to a firm part of the whole group, yet he allows her to keep the softness that the others wonder about at first. Notice she even keeps the dreaded pigtails through all the books!
