Peggy is also astonishingly good-natured about being called Galoot!, etc. constantly, and apparently without resenting it or reacting negatively. Sometimes it almost doesn't seem realistic - although the way Nancy uses the terms they are pretty affectionate. I've always been sorry we didn't see more of Peggy -- and I'm not at all certain without Nancy she would be shy and reserved; she might blossom when she needed to establish her own certainties.
