Two further examples of Bridget's abnormally fast ageing:

- In S&A she has her second birthday. In Swallowdale, set the next
year but starting earlier in the summer than S&A, she's already 3
at the start of the book.

- When Roger uses matches in Winter Holiday he's breaking a family
rule even though he's 8 or 9. But if I remember correctly, Bridget
uses them in Secret Water with no mention of a rule being broken.

Two further apparent inconsistencies over ages:

- In S&A Peggy is about the same age/size as John but in several of
the later books she seems to be younger/smaller than Susan. In Missee
Lee they get in the dragon in order of size, with Peggy behind Susan;
in Winter Holiday Dorothea thinks Peggy is not much older than herself;
in tP&tM Peggy and Dorothea take the same shoe size. There may be
other examples in the other books.

- Dick is not much older than Roger in Winter Holiday, but in tP&tM
he's done qualitative analysis in chemistry at school.

Sorry for repeating something I've said before, but there are several
new readers about.
