Thanks Andy, I was indeed just directing people's attention to what I thought was an evocative photo on LakelandCam (as I've done in the past and as other people also do from time to time.)

And while I agree with Captain Flint that "honesty is the best policy," it isn't always necessarily best to follow that policy; so while I consider myself in the main very honest, I also agree with you that honesty can sometimes be over-rated. (I have a relation who's so blatantly "honest" that she actually does quite a bit of psychological damage to others on occasion.)

I already had your email address thanks (indeed, it's even possible I have Peter H's somewhere in my records,) but for me it's nice to have the address handy there in the post for the odd occasion when I might want to make a private reply. I understand the spam reasons for not posting an address. I'm fortunate in that my both ISPs seem to have remarkably good spam filters in place, and I'm seldom bothered by junk mail. What I do do though is to check my messages on webmail in both cases before I download them, by which means I can filter out the few that might have escaped the filters without their cluttering up my computer.
