Has there been any thought to creating a lower-cost non-voting
associate-member category? Personally, I find $50 (Canadian People)
to be just way too rich. If I could claim it as a charitable donation,
maybe I'd be interested, but as an annual expense, sorry not me.

The simple fact is that as a Canadian the odds are that I'd virtually
never make it to an AGM for voting. Nor any of the other events or
sites organized in the UK. I'd just like to be able to order
from the society stall -- one of the few places where I can find the
books in hardcover. I'm keeping my eyes open in second hand shops, but
I'm seeing a lot of high prices being charged for Ransome books, from
various internet sources for instance.

I would like to be able to order the "Nancy Blackett" video also.
Since it's a fund-raiser for the N.B.Trust I don't understand why
they're trying to restrict the pool of purchasers by requiring TARS
membership.
