There was one up near Leeds when I was visiting there in August, swimming around in Fairburn Ings. I don't have those photos handy to be able to post one ATM. Not sure whether (he) was a transient or a local.
Coincidentally, like the Norfolk Broads, the Fairburn Ings are the result of the quest for fuel; in this case they're the result of subsidence into underlying coal mines.
