If you wish to consider this a reprimand, please do so. I prefer to consider it my opinion.
The board is intended to discuss Arthur Ransome and topics which can (however, loosely) be connected back to him. Sometimes we stray a bit into wilder and woollier territory and I have no real problem with that but things should avoid getting personal. I really would prefer that people try and avoid bringing their past grievances into discussion. If, however, someone does, then I would prefer that people politely look the other way and let it go.
No moderated board, even one as loosely governed as this, is going to be completely benign at all times for all people. We really would rather spend our time reading interesting posts than moderating them.
