Possibly Aubrey de Selingcourt? Family Afloat and various others. Solent-based (Chichester Harbour at any rate) but venture further afield.
Can't recommend Gilbert hackforth Jones Green Sailors I'm afraid. Used to love them as a kid when they were on the radio. But found and reread one a few years ago and most disappointed. Sub-Blyton
