Presumably Beckfoot would have had a similar water supply.
Has anybody managed to locate that small dam on Google Earth? The only one I can find is up the valley, level with Tarn Hows, 54°23'35.13"N 3° 2'46.03"W but although it's a dam all right, the lake looks too large, and not enclosed enough, to be the one in Tony's photo.
