Can anyone shed light on the origins of "The Big Five", mentioned by Dorothea on the title page of the Big Six, "They sit in their cubby-holes at Scotland Yard and solve one mystery after another."
I think it was a detective novel, and we may have been this way before on Tarboard, but if so, I've forgotten.
