As long as we're talking about 'silly books', SW falls into that category, in my humble opinion. All that mud, to begin with. Then, AR introduces two new characters and IMHO, Don and Daisy aren't given enough time for us to get to know them. Having a corroboree and dancing around the eel-pole seem contrived to me. I simply can't imagine any of the characters I know and love doing that. The eel is a slippery creature anyway. If you've got to have a totem, an eagle or a lion is a much better choice than an eel. Trouble is, lions and eagles are pretty thin on the ground (or in the air) in that part of the world.
