I'll just bet copyright has lapsed in the US on Escape from Persia and Oxus in Summer (if not on The Far-Distant Oxus)
I have been thinking of doing an Ed Kiser on these 3 books (the others bore me)..with a view to making the text avail. for Kindle (in the US only of course) and 'Gutenberg' site etc etc....
I'm sure there are some snags.
You can upload any text to yr Kindle for a small fee. Of course you can also buy books from Amazon kindle for $7-10. I can assure you that 3-1/2 years olds can handle the controls... the mind boggles....
