Peter -
I took a video clip but I can't get it to play. If I do, I'll post it to You Tube.
We should mention that the engine dates back to the 1920's, and is owned by Peter Barnes. It's a Bassett-Lowke model.
Peter Barnes and I have had chats about the idea of a Hornby 1920's tinplate railway such as I think Dick Callum would have owned. I am slowly putting such a collection together, complete with (I hope to Luke's approval) lithograph and plywood Furness Railway coaches and original Hornby clockwork engines. What interested me hugely is that Dick Kelsall on Saturday told me that he had just such a railway when he lived in Barkbooth - I wonder if AR ever saw it and played with it!
