well, you've got a second treat in store when you visit the Ruskin Museum, as they have a Furness Railway bench seat there - with its cast squirrel iron ends.
The Maritime Museum in Barrow also has some Furness railway memorabilia. Again, its not open on Mondays or Tuesdays in winter - what are you going to do on Mondays and Tuesdays?
And presumably you'll be calling in at Haverthwaite, though in December they only run Santa specials, on 5,6,12,13,19 and 20th December.
I used to commute to secondary school in Norwich from Wroxham station (now called Hoveton and Wroxham) which I thought was a great thing to do.
